LSVT BIG is a research-based exercise treatment developed from the principles of Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT LOUD®). The program Primarily designed for individuals with: Parkinson’s disease, atypical parkinsonism, Stroke, Other neurological conditions affecting movements. LSVT BIG focuses on Amplitude of movement (making movements "bigger"), Improving functional mobility (walking, reaching, turning, etc.), Neuroplasticity — retraining the brain to use bigger, more normal movements.
PARKINSON WELLNESS RECOVERY (PWR!) PROTOCOL
PWR! is an evidence-based, holistic approach to managing the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease (PD) through targeted physical and functional exercise. Developed by Dr. Becky Farley, a neuroscientist and physical therapist, PWR! is rooted in principles of neuroplasticity and functional training aimed at improving quality of life for people living with Parkinson Disease. The core objective of Parkinson Wellness Recovery is to slow disease progression, restore motor function, and optimize brain health through consistent, research-informed exercise and wellness strategies. It also promotes independence, confidence, and overall well-being in individuals with PD.
